An auction is a particular form of sale in which buyers compete to purchase the object of interest by submitting their best offer. At the end of the auction, the object is awarded to the highest bidder, i.e. the person who signed the highest bid.
Auctions allow items to be sold to the highest bidder. Participants bid on the item until the highest bid is reached within a set timeframe. The highest bidder wins and pays the bid amount.
